Rave Runs of 2016

December 22, 2016

Every year, I travel back in time to remember the most magical miles of the past 365 days. While it feels as though I ran very little due to being pregnant the majority of 2016, it turns out I ran in a lot of amazing places and logged more miles than I realized. I always say that running is so much more than running. It’s a journey that brings so many things into our lives … confidence, strength, friendships and adventures. Here are the highlights of my running adventures in 2016.

January: New York City, Central Park

This run was ironically the day before my first miscarriage. I felt so great and strong on this day. It is amazing what 24 hours can do.

February: Sedona, Arizona

for the Sedona Half Marathon

I had to officially stop running in late October because it was becoming too challenging while pregnant. Looking back, I realize there was a lot of running magic in my year of no training and racing. I also realize how beautiful running in my own city is. Here were some additional moments from my home in Tampa Bay throughout 2016 …

Where is the most memorable place you ran in 2016?

My most memorable run was the 5k in my first triathlon! 2016 brought a lot of personal health challenges, but it will always be the year I became a triathlete!

I always enjoy seeing all of the beautiful places you get to run each year! Vermont was definitely one of the most beautiful (and challenging) places I got to run this year. Sacramento was definitely memorable as well!

I love this post!! You really did visit some amazing places this year!

Arkansas had some amazing runs for me this year, as did Miami! I have some great runs planned in 2017 too 🙂
